Documentation will be provided to
explain the investigative steps and to discuss downgradient water quality
impacts. Available initial analysis will be provided with the package of
preliminary information which will be shared with the MPCA in October.

29.

The results of the PACE Laboratory analysts for.samples collected in
April 1985 has been submitted to the MPCA on September 13, 1985.

Monitorin9 Wells

30.

Pages 13-16. The locations of current ground and surface water monitoring
points are included in the Evaluation Report. The MPCA has approved the
location of four additional groundwater monitoring wells. The need for
additional monitoring wells and subsequent associated soil and water
testing will be based on the findings of drilling and water quality
analysis programs. Specifically, the need for additional monitoring
wells, as well as the location, depth, and number of wells, will be
determined on the basis of available data and proposals made for
additional phases of investigation, if needed, in accordance with
Exhibit A of the Consent Order.

When the results of the July 22-26 sampling event (the first complete and
reliable analytical data from the new groundwater monitoring wells) were
received and analyzed in August, a proposal for additional groundwater
monitoring wells was submitted to MPCA on August 21. MPCA approval of
the proposal was granted on September 5. The drilling program was begun
on September 12.
