All revenues frc~t this will go to the youth organization <br />operating the progr~r. <br /> <br />Based on projected collections of 39 tons of total recyclable <br />collected, the City will receive $ 156.00 from Metropolitan <br />Council's $ 4.00 per ton of recyclables program. Any funds <br />received fro~ this will go to the youth or civic organization <br />operating the progr~r. <br /> <br />Projected Collections (in tons) fr~r Pro_rx)sed Pro~rar <br /> <br />Ass~ing Ra~sey is ~ade up of predominantly rural residential <br />households, based on Metropolitan Council statistics, Ra~sey <br />residents generate approximately 2 pounds of landfilled refuse <br />per day. Based on Rawsey's population of 10,860 (April 1984 <br />Metropolitan Council estimate), Ra~sey's annual residential <br />refuse generation is 7,927,800 pounds (10,860 residents x 2 <br />pounds/resident/day x 365 days/year) or approximately 3,964 tons. <br /> <br />Approximately 5% (based on Metropolitan Council estimates) <br />of the total refuse, or 396,390 pounds (198 tons), is recyclable glass <br />containers.
