I I I I I I i I Motion by _ ~ and seconded by to approve/di~'approve of the Personnel Committee conducting closed meetings on December 20, 1985 at 8:00 a.m. and on December 2?, 1985 at 8:00 a.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center. The purpose of the closed meetings will be to discuss the ongoing AFSCME union labor contract negotiations and to give the appropriate direction to the City Attorney relating to these negotiations. Said meeting is to be conducted and authorized pursuant to the Minnesota Open Meeting Statute. Council discussion: Motion carried/failed. Voting yes: Voting no: Abstaining: Absent: CASE~: CORRECTION TO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES DATED NOVEMBER 12, 1985, PAGE 11 OF BIDS: 12, REGARDING THE CENTRAL PARK LIGHTING Council motion authorizing the awarding of the bids to Berg Electric for installation of lighting poles for Central Park shoUld. be 'cOrrected in the November 1Z, 1985 minutes by adopting a Council resolution. Enclosure ~2-p) contains the proposed resolution authorizing the awarding of the Central Park lighting bids. Council Action: Your action will be to make a correction to the Council minutes of November 17., 1985. The following proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration: ~~d ~ Motion by seconded by to amend City Council motion dated November 1Z, 1985 to read as follows: "Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt Resolution #85- .. accepting the alternate bid of Berg Electric' for a total cost not to exce'~d $73,775.00. In addition, the contractor shall be required to meet all contractual obligations of the City as laid out in the specifications, including the required performance bond. Further, that as a part of the alternate bid, the City must provide the cement poles and to authorize that the poles be purchased from the Cretex Companies, Inc. in the amount of $4,000.00, contingent upon Cretex providing a guarantee as to pole structurability or the City Engineer having the poles structurally inspected. Further, to approve Change Ch*der #1 to delete the fence and roof over the electrical equipment at a cost of $3,500 and add relocating the remote ballasts twelve feet above the ground at a cost of $4,880.00; the net increase in the change order would be $1,380.00 Motion carried.
