Project Parties <br /> Project Lead and Applicant: City of Ramsey <br /> The proposed project is sponsored by the City of Ramsey. The City is developing the project in <br /> collaboration with the partners listed below.The City is invested in the proposed project because of <br /> the safety and travel time improvements that will be realized, as well as the strong connection <br /> between the success of the proposed project and the success of the City's COR development. MnDOT will not be asked to contribute <br /> to the proposed project since the Trunk Highway system will receive minimal benefit as a result. <br /> Project Partner: Anoka County <br /> Anoka County is invested in this proposed project due to the safety and travel time improvements <br /> that will be realized.Anoka County is responsible for operating and maintaining CSAH 56 and will <br /> commit$2.2 million to the proposed project. <br /> Project Partner: Counties Transit Improvement Board (CTIB) <br /> CTIB is composed of Anoka,Dakota,Hennepin,Ramsey,and Washington Counties who each levy <br /> a quarter-cent sales tax and a $20 motor vehicle sales tax to invest in and advance transit projects by <br /> awarding capital and operating grants.As a local sponsor of the Northstar Commuter Rail <br /> committed to funding 50 percent of the line's operating subsidy, CTIB is invested in the safety <br /> improvements at the CSAH 56 intersection with the BNSF Railway tracks and will commit $6.6 <br /> million to the proposed project. <br /> Project Partner: Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad <br /> Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad is invested in this proposed project due to the safety <br /> and travel time improvements that will be realized.
