City Administrator Ulrich congratulated the team for their outstanding efforts, highlighting <br /> especially the efforts of Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama. <br /> Mayor Strommen asked if there are lessons learned that could be transferred to future projects. <br /> City Administrator Ulrich noted that a debriefing would occur to highlight those aspects and plan <br /> better for the future. <br /> Fire Chief Kohner stated that this new station adds functionality and efficiency as well as <br /> improving safety for the firefighters. <br /> 8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings and events. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill stated that at the direction of the Council a <br /> moderated panel event was held in October to determine the market viability of The COR. He <br /> commented that it was a very valuable exercise and some policy direction will be needed. He <br /> stated that staff is looking for direction from the Council to hold a joint worksession on the topic <br /> with the Council and Planning Commission. He noted that this moderated panel was on a broad <br /> topic and that could then be refocused onto topic such as retail and parking as well as signage. <br /> He believed January would be a good fit for the topic. <br /> Mayor Strommen confirmed the consensus of the Council to schedule a joint worksession with <br /> the Council and Planning Commission in January. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated that he attended a 2016 business networking event with some <br /> members of City staff earlier today, noting that it was a good event. <br /> Mayor Strommen noted that the City has its first snowfall event and commended public works <br /> staff for their efforts. <br /> 9.
