I am writing this letter at the request of the Northfork Board of <br /> Directors ("Board") regarding the above matter. For your information, the Board <br /> has been dealing with the owners of the above property, Tom &, Edie Harer, for <br /> several months regarding the Harers keeping of non-permissible animals at their <br /> property. Enclosed herewith you will find my November 23, 2016 <br /> correspondence to the members of the Northfork regarding those dealings. <br /> Briefly, as you know the City of Ramsey made amendments to their ordinance to <br /> allow chickens on properties smaller than 3 acres in size back on June 12, 2012. <br /> Subsequently, the Northfork Board amended the Rules and Regulations of <br /> Northfork on that same date to restrict the ownership and possession of any <br /> livestock, whether for commercial or personal use, on property within Northfork <br /> at any time. The Board deemed livestock to include, but not limited to, any of <br /> the following: chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, horses, etc. It came to the <br /> Board's attention earlier this year that the Harers were keeping chickens and a <br /> pig on their property. It was also learned that they had constructed or placed a <br /> structure or structures on the property to house the animals. <br /> The Board, pursuant to their Governing Documents, informed the Harers of the <br /> necessity to submit plans for the installation or construction of any structure on <br /> properties within Northfork to the Northfork Architectural Review Committee and <br /> requested them to do so. In addition, the Board informed the Harers that the <br />
