Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-12-248 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE POSITION RECLASSIFCATIONS WHEREAS,the strategic plan identifies the City Council's desire to maintain an effective organization and to reclassify jobs in an effort to retain employees; and WHEREAS, staff identified two position to be addressed at this time; and WHEREAS,the 2017 budget accounts for the position reclassifications; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the following: Reclassify the current Assistant Permit Technician, Ellen Krueger, to Permit Technician, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $23.20 per hour and the current Parks Lead Worker, Mike Berge, to Parks Supervisor, at step 2 of the new wage scale, which is $31.73 per hour. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Motion to adopt resolution#16-12-248 to Approve Position Reclassifications, effective as of January 1, 2017, as follows: 1) Reclassify the current Assistant Permit Technician, Ellen Krueger, to Permit Technician, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $23.20 per hour; and 2) Reclassify the current Parks Lead Worker, Mike Berge, to Parks Supervisor, at step 2 of the new wage scale, which is $31.73 per hour. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13TH day of December 2016.
