Ramsey doesn't have any other type of draw to make it competitive with other oc~munities; this airport facility could attract business ar~ employment. ~ere have already been businesses locatirg in R~ betting on the oome t~at the airport will be improved; there have been btxsinesses that did not locate at Ramsey because there was not a firm con~i~nent at Gateway. ~he City is 9ettin9 to that point in time where a decision has to be made regarding the best that can be done at that site, considerin9 all the positives and detriments. Mr. Dick Sieber pointed out that the Airport (lmmdssion does not have the authority to make the decision; the O~mission's task is to study the situation and make a r~tion to City Council; Council makes the final decision. Motion by Cxm~issioner Erickson and seconded by (Imm~ssioner Stauffer to adjourn this meeting of the Airport (kmmission. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, (k~missioners Donovan, Soderholm, Erickson, Sieber, Siebert, Stauffer, Larsen and Greenberg. No: None.
