Home Occupation Permit- Case of Jean Schlueter <br />A public hearing wa~ held earlier during the evening, and as there appears that <br />there would not be any outside storage of supplies, and no traffic problems with <br />this request, Motion by A1 SOrteberg, seconded by Brad Bodle to recommend to the <br />City Council to grant a home occupation permit to' Jean Schlueter, 15011 Juniper <br />Ridge Dr. N.W., to allow the manufacturing and sales of miniature doll house furn- <br />iture and accessories in her home. Subject to reviewal in two years. <br />Motio.n carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Item 3. Off-sale liquor and superette disCussion -'Case of Keith Cable. <br />Keith Cable was ~resent with a sketch plan of his proposed 'building for <br />Co, Rd. #57 and Hwy #47. There was a brief discussion regarding accesses, <br />and the possiblity of a different building site on the parcel. Mr. Cable <br />stated that he wished he had more difinite information regarding the road <br />proposed for the west property line, and Commission members suggested, he contact <br />Mr. Dick Carson on this matter plus the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Item. 4 Review of Economic Committees'Recommendations. <br />A1Sorteberg briefly reviewed the. recommendations of the:committee, and after <br />further discussion there followed:a Motion by:.Art~Dunn~=:seconded:=by':Ro~=Wes't~? <br />to accept the recommendations of the':EcOnomic commi.tt~e .... at their:meeting-of~= <br />November 28, 1978. Rezonin9 of the Rural-'Service Area. <br />Ken Peterson explained briefly about the joint meeting held with Council and <br />Metro Council, and asked the other members attending the meeting i~ they also <br />understood that the Metro Council was not as concerned with sewer and water <br />services to that area.as they~were with cost of services such ~s fire, po]ice, <br />transportation. <br /> <br />Motion by Ken Peterson,' Seconded--byL~erry. Would allow better, control of land subdivision through platting with:elim-. <br />inating metes and bounds descriptions. <br />2.) provide better protection for trott brook area. <br />3.) There would only be a minimal effect on city services already being provided <br /> to the area. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Item 6. Expiration of P & Z members term. - Case of Kathy Schneider. <br />Motion by A1 Sorteberg, seconded by Ron West to recommend to the City Council <br />to appoint Kathy Schneider to a four year term. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Ms. Schneider stated that she would be willing to continue taking minutes at <br />this time, however, pointed out that funds were budgeted to cover only one <br />meeting per month. It was the consensus of the Commission to ask City Staff <br />to arrange for a secretarial fee to be collected when there is a special <br />meeting called for the convenience of a petitioner. <br /> <br /> <br />
