COUNCIL/7-24-78 <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MR~NESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Remsey City Council was held on July 24, 1978, at <br />Ramsay Municipal Center, 1 5153 No, then Boulevard N.W., Ramsay, MN 55303 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Gamec <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />Attorney Goodrich <br />Engineer Sha <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Gamec, seconded by Reimann to approve the Agenda for July 24, t978 <br />Council meeting with the addition of Citizen's Input and Letters & Communications. <br /> 5 Ayes <br /> <br />CITIZEN'S INPUT <br /> <br />There was no citizen input. <br /> <br />LETTERS & COI~UNICATIONS <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich presented a letter from Les Meier of Federal Cartridge <br />Corporation regarding the letter of complaint the City had received previously <br />from Mike Kennedy on noise from the Gun Club. The letter states that they <br />conducted a sound reading study and found that the noise created by the gun <br />club is less than the air, automobiles and birds, however, the noise is more <br />noticeable recently since large trees were taken down. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to send a copy of the letter from Federal Cartridge to <br />the Kennedys and a letter to Federal Cartridge asking for a definite plan on <br />tree plantings so the City has something tangible on file for future reference. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox presented the Anoka County Sheriff's Annual Report for 1977. <br />Mr. Schnelle is to confer with the Police Chief and see if he has any comments <br />in regard to this and a letter is to be sent to the Sheriff's Office acknowledging <br />receipt of the report and expressing the City's appreciation for the fine <br />cooperation we have received from his department. <br /> <br />A. APPROVAL OF COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />1. Special Council Meeting of July 10, 1978. <br /> <br />Motion by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to approve the special meeting of <br />July 10, 1978. <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Board of Adjustment, July 10,1978 (Inderieden-Schmedke) <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Gamec to approve the minutes of July 10, 1978 <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
