Council Old Business <br /> <br />a. Zoning ordinance case of Home Occupations, Assessor Buildings and <br />Conditional Use Permits. <br /> <br />Discussion was held and this item tabled. <br /> <br />b. Contract between City and Werhman, Chapman & Assoc~ tes. <br /> <br />~tion by ¥~ckelson, seconded by Muller to amend the contract with Werhman, <br />Chapman & Associates. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />2. Council New Business <br /> <br />a. Traffic Control: Petition for a 30 mile per hour speed zone on 153rd <br />Street between County 83 & P~ma Street. <br /> <br />Council directed Street Superintendent Mevissent to contact the State Highway <br />Department and take e traffic count and whatever steps necessary regarding <br />this speed limit sign. <br /> <br />b. Animal Control: Regarding problems with Blaine-Midway All Pets, Inc. <br />kennel. <br /> <br />It was noted that Mr. Wax of Blaine Mddway All Pets and Dr. Brunnel of Anoka <br />West Pet Hospital were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Wax spoke before the Council stating that his kennel is Federally regulated <br />and that the State doesn't have anything to do wi~h his facility. He has <br />installed air conditioning, four furnaces, seven different holding areas and <br />made improvements constantly. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked Mr. Wax about a disease called kennel cough. <br /> <br />Mr. WaM said some of the dogs he takes in look healthy and then come do~n with <br />a cough and they do isolate these dogs when they detect any disease. <br /> <br /> <br />
