Anoka, Minnesota 55303 Re: Acceptance of Magnesium Street as a City Street Dear Mr. Schnelle: As requested, we have reviewed the surveys and inspected the above referenced street which is located north of Industrial Boulevard and west of the Ramsey Terrace plat and offer the following comments: 1. The street consists of a two inch bituminous surface 24 feet in width. 2. Several areas have broken up due to settlement and undermining of the base by rodents. . The majority of the runoff from the street and the surrounding area drains into the pond which is located directly to the west of the street. However, it appears that a portion of the runoff ponds on parcel 670 as shown on the half section map during periods of heavy rainfall and prior to the spring thaw. To upgrade this street to meet present city standards would require extensive grading and construction. Ultimately we would reco~nend constructing this street in conformance with the city's standard suburban street section which is 32 feet in width. However, since the street is located in the Urban Planning District we would not recon~nend major upgrading of the street until utilities have been constructed. /,If the city elects to accept the street as a city street we would reco~end the following requirements be met: 1. The landowners dedicate a 66 foot wide street over the entire length easement of the street and a 130 foot diameter easement at the north end of the street for a cul-de-sac. keith caswell jr.
