B. Disclaimer of Liability. The FLOOD PL2, IN DISTRICTS herein established are in- tended to provide a reasonable approach to flood control based on present information. Certification of Compliance. No vacant flood plain land shall be occupied or used and no b~ildin.o, here~ after erected, altered or moved shall be occupied until the applicant submits to the ai~propriate local official a certification by a registered professional enqineer or architect ' .~ . tn~t the finish,ed fill and building floor elevations or other flood protection measures are 'in compliance with ~ppropFldte flood plain zoning provisions and other flood plain regulations. A registered land surveyor may certify fill and building elevations. Removal of Lands From a Flood Plain District. The flood plain designation on official zoning maps shall. not be romoved from flood plain areas adjacent to and outside of flood$,?ys unless it can be shown that the areas are filled to an elevation at or above flood protection level end are contiguous to other lands laying outside the flood plain district. Variance from Standard. ' )'.)o variance shall be granted which provides for a lesser degree of flood protection than stated in these regulations.
