Councilmember Kurak asked how many buses would be running. <br /> <br />Mr. Lutey replied the section of the report with the frequency schedule outlines the number of <br />buses. He would suggest they could run one of those routes at certain times of the day and likely <br />use four buses. They did make a couple of recommendations. The first was that the Northstar <br />Commuter coach make a stop at the RTC. The demand estimates assume there will be a transit <br />service for the Park and Ride. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen asked if any metro transit routes were factored into the demand other <br />than Northstar. <br /> <br />Mr. Lutey replied the demand estimates are based on commuters and are population based. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen noted a lot of Ramsey residents fide the 851 bus route. <br /> <br />Ms. Olsen noted the Council was distributed information on parking demand, which is a w. ork in <br />process, h~fornaation will be determined based on what will happen in the RTC. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked if federal grants could be used towards maintenance of the ramps. <br /> <br />Ms. Olsen replied most of the larger grants are for capiial and they need to be creative to find <br />other funds for the maintenance and operation of the ramps. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />ADJOUI~dNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Council Work Session of the City Council adjourned at 6:55 p.m. <br /> <br />RespectRdly submitted, <br /> <br />Carol Hamer <br />Recording Secretary <br />TimeSaver Off'Site Secretarial, Jnc. <br /> <br />James E.
