City Adrninistrator Nornnan reviewed that the City Council adopted the Official Map for the future Highway 10 co~Tidor in April. The adoption of the Highway 10 Official Map allows the City to begin preserving land within the future con-idor by accessing Right-of-way Acquisition Loan Fund (tLALF) administered by the Metropolitan Council. As there will be many recfuests to utilize the 1LALF funds presently and in the future, staff is bringing forward a blanket resolution for Council consideration. The resolution will allow the City to submit loan applications to the Metropolitan Council for the purchase of properties within the Highway t 0 corridor. Councilmember Kurak requested that the Council be informed in a worksession or in the weekly update when staff begins working with property owners. Councih-nernber Elvig asked ifRalf funds would work with the trailer park complex. . City Adrninistrator Non'nan responded in the affirmative. Motion by Councilmember Cook, second by Councilmernber Elvig, to adopt Resolution #04-07- 196 authorizing the loan application and.purchase of prOperties under the RALF pro,'am. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Garnec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT 1) Council Updates Mayor Gamec made the following announcements: The Anoka County elected officials meeting will be on July 25th with a barbeque prior to the meeting, starting at 5:00 p.m. [] The EDA Golf Tournament will be August 17m. [] The City will not be receiving any local government aid, due to the goven:m~ent's interpretatio~l that was made of the ~ding. [] It is likely that there will not be a special session, which will affect Northstar. There will be a meeting with a delegation of Anoka County in regm'ds to holding the funding for Northstar in place. · He has been meeting with the people on the Rum River in regm'ds to the No Wake Ordinance, and he is working with the Water Patrol. There is getting to be a lot of erosion. If the Council does not have any objections he will put an ordinance together to be sure Anoka, Andover and Ramsey are in cof'~junction. He will be meeting with the residents again and will inform them. Councilmen~ber Pearson indicated residents should pay attention to the speed wagons when they see 'them.
