PROJECT #4-24, HELIUM STREET/169T}~ DI:L,-klNAGE PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 13, 2004, City Council adopted Resolution #04-07-177 approving <br />the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #04-24, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a st~mmary of the six lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br /> Bidder <br />Penn Contracting <br />Dryden Excavating <br />Dave Perkins <br />W.B. Miller <br />Jay Bros. <br />Northdale Construction <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />Amount ofBid <br /> $66,24O.O0 <br /> $67,293.35 <br /> $68,908.00 <br /> $74,468.00 <br /> $78,685.00 <br /> $91,532.82 <br /> $60,000.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Penn Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R_41MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Perm Contracting in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project #04-24 in the amount of $66,240.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and dii-ected to remm forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution wa~ duly seconded by Councilmember <br />__, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />-300- <br /> <br /> <br />
