5.06.13 Games. No person in a park shall take part in or abet the playing of any games <br />involving thrown or otherwise propelled objects such as bails, stones, arrows, javelins, or model- <br />airplanes, except in areas set apart for such forms of recreation. The playing of rough or <br />comparatively dangerous games such as football or baseball is prohibited except on the fields <br />and courts or areas provided therefor. Roller-skating shall be confined to those areas specifically <br />designated for such pastime. <br /> <br />5.06.14 Horseback Riding. No person in a park shall ride a horse except on designated <br />bridle trails. Horses shall be thoroughly broken and properly restrained and ridden with due <br />care, and shall not be allowed to graze or go unattended, nor shall they be hitched to any rock, <br />tree or shrub. <br /> <br />5.06.15 <br /> <br />Alcoholic Beverages <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. No person shall bring, have in their possession, or consume <br />alcoholic beverages at any time in any park, except as provided in Subsection 2. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Consumption of non-intoxicating alcoholic beverages is permitted in <br />parks if purchased from a person licensed to sell in such park, pursuant to the provisions of City <br />Code {}7.5 I. Ail sales shall be individual drinks and shall be served for consumption on the <br />license premises. <br /> <br />5.06.16 Fireworks and Explosives, No person in a park shall bring or have in their <br />possession, or set off or otherwise cause to explode or discharge or burn, any firecrackers, <br />torpedoes, rockets, or other fireworks or explosives of inflammable material, or discharge them <br />or throw them into any such area/'rom land or highway adjacent thereto; nor any substance, <br />compound, mixture, or article that in conjunction with any other substance, compound, mixture, <br />or article that in conjunction with any other substance or compound would be dangerous from <br />any of the foregoing standpoints, unless licensed by the Council pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />Chapter 624. <br /> <br />5.06.17 Domestic Animals. No person in a park shall bring a dog or other domestic <br />animal into areas other than automobile parking concourses and walks immediately adjacent <br />thereto, and in such other areas as may be clearly marked by signs bearing the wOrds "Domestic <br />Animals Permitted in This Area." Nothing herein shall be construed as permitting the running of <br />dogs at large. Ail dogs in those areas where such animals are permitted shall be restrained at all <br />times on adequate leashes not greater than 8 feet in length. <br /> <br />5.06.18 Fires. No person in a park shall build or attempt to build a fire except in such <br />areas and under such re~lations as may be designated by the director. No person shall drop, <br />throw, or otherwise scatter lighted matches, burning cigarettes or cigars, tobacco, paper or other <br />inflammable material within any park area or on any highway, road or street abutting or <br />contiguous thereto. <br /> <br />5-22 <br /> <br /> <br />
