CASE 4: <br /> <br />CASE 5: <br /> <br />CASE 6: <br /> <br />CASE 7: <br /> <br />~UX)PTION OF RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY FOR CLASSIFICATION <br />OF FUNDS/REVENUE/EXPENDITURE CODES: <br /> <br />Please refer to enclosure (D3-d) resolution #79-2 which is sub- <br />mitted for your review and adoption. <br /> <br />City Administrator's ~omments: The purpose of this is to es- <br />tablish prOper uniformity within the framework of the City <br />budget and your accounting system as it establishing a proper <br />foundation for the City in fiscal management, This will be <br />cn~cial to the City in staying in compliance with State laws <br />that were adopted by the 1977 legislative session~ <br /> <br />PROPOSED RECC~I~ENDATION TO JOIN HENNEPIN COUNTY COOPERATIVE <br /> <br />PURCHASING: <br /> <br />BacRground: Hennepin County purchasing was developed to save <br />local governments money in purchasing and it has been extremely <br />successful. Now, it does not mean that you have to do all pur- <br />chasing through Hennepin County if you are a member. <br /> <br />Please refer to enclosure (D3-e) resolution #79-3, Hennepin <br />County Cooperative Agreement and a list of cities and counties <br />who are currently members. <br /> <br />Council Action: If Council approves of joining this, you will <br />have to adopt resolution #79-3 and you will have to authorize <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the Cooperative Agree- <br />ment. <br /> <br />H.U.D. GRANT <br /> <br />Background: Due to the short notice Of this meeting and the <br />workload I was not able to go to the workshop. However, I did <br />pick up the brochures for your review. <br /> <br />City Administrator's Comments: It appears to me our biggest <br />task at the present is to cbme up with a need for this grant <br />that falls within the perameter that the City can afford in <br />their future years budgets. <br /> <br />LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS MEETING: <br /> <br />The League of Women Voters are conducting a housing Symposium <br />on January 13, 1979 (which is on a Saturday) commences 9:15 <br />a.m. at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College.. They have contacted <br />Councilman Reimann and the City Administrator and have requested <br />that at least one city official be in attendance at this <br />Symposium. The cost will be $4.00 per person, Council action <br />will be to designate someone to attend this meeting. (Pro- <br />viding they desire to have someone in attendance,) <br /> <br /> <br />
