CITY OF ANOKA <br />CONTRACT FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br /> <br /> 197 9 <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the City of Anoka, <br /> <br />a Municipal Corporation, of the County of Anoka and State of Minnesota, <br /> <br />party of the first part~ hereinafter referred to as "City", and the City of ' <br /> <br /> Ramsey <br /> , in the County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, part of the <br /> <br />second part. <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> That in consideration of the sum of Six thousand, seven hundred sixty three and <br /> 66/100 ($6,763.66) Dollars per year, payable in advance, by second party to <br /> <br />said City, said City agrees to furnish fire service and Protection to the <br /> <br />property, located in said City/Township of Ramsey , for the <br /> <br />compensation and on the conditions hereinafter set forth, and the said City <br /> <br />further agrees that when called to property located in the City/Township of <br /> <br /> Ramsey , its firemen will make a reasonable effort to attend fires <br /> <br />on said property, PROVIDED, HOWEVER: <br /> <br /> 1. That the road and weather conditions be such that the fire run can <br /> <br />be made with reasonable safety to men and equipment, and the decision of the <br />Anoka Fire Chief or other Fire Department officer in charge sh%I1 be final <br />in such matter. ~ <br /> <br /> 2. That in the event that all fire apparatus and all members of the <br /> <br />Anoka Fire Department are busy at the time a call comes in from said second <br />party, or, tin the discretion of the Anoka Fire Chief or other Fire Department <br />officer in charge, such fire apparatus and members of said Fire Department <br />may be needed in Anoka, the City shall be ~eld free and ?elieved from all <br />liability to make s~id run or to respond to said call. <br /> <br /> 3. In the event the Anoka Fire Department is fighting a fire in the <br /> <br />City/Township of Ramsey and a fire breaks out in the City of Anoka, <br /> <br />the Anoka Fire Department will not leave the City/Township .of Ramsey <br /> <br />fire unattended. The Anoka Fire Department will either remain to fight the <br />fire or will provide services from another municipality through mutual aid <br />agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />
