City of Ramsey <br /> <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Anon, a, M~nnesota 55303 · 16121 427-1410 <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Januaz~ 17~ 1979 <br /> <br />Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council <br />Attention: Bruce :¢oj ack <br />Anoka County Courthouse <br />Anoka, ~';n. 55303 <br /> <br />Dear Bruo% <br /> <br /> The intent of this letter is to initiate an apFeal to the Codicil <br /> to reconsider the rejection of R&msey's request for a bm. nd-held <br /> radio and cb_arger unit. <br /> It appears, fr~m what I am able to piece together~ th. at with the <br />e×ception of kamsey, Lino and St. Fra_n. cis the other cities in the <br />county have a quantity of hand-held radios sufficient for each of- <br />ficer on any one shift and these are radios furnished by the Cen- <br />tral Co~munications system. <br />As of February 1st, F[amsey will be operating two vehicles from the <br />ho~rs of 1830 until OAOO. ?.~e are greatly in need of another ra- <br />dio unit and charger in order that our officers can have ready com- <br /> munication for their welfare as well as providing efficient law <br /> enforcement services to the citizens. <br />Considering the present ratio I had expected no difficulty in be- <br />ing assigned another hand-held radio a~nd charger therefore I did <br />not budget to purchase one of our o~.~n. <br />It is my understanding that the accepted policy as it would apply <br /> to our department is for assigm~.,ent of one hand held radio for <br />each mar].~ed unit used exclusively for la~..~ enforcement.
