TO: City of Ramsey Board of Adjus~nent <br /> <br />RE: Grosslein Building Permit Request <br /> <br />FRCM: City Staff <br /> <br />DATE: January 19, 1979 <br /> <br /> With regard ~o the request of Grosslein Beverages, Inc.-to ob~s~n a variance <br /> <br />for the construction of a w~rehouse on Tungsten Street in the City of Ramsey, the <br />city staff met on Monday, January 15, 1979 with %he following residents, Mr. Grosslein <br />and his contractor. Mavis Anderson, Bill Dickenson, ~r. and M~s. Roger Dickenson, Sr., <br />Ralph Dickenson, and Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the n~eting was to obtain input questions and any and~ll <br />pertinent information concerning Grosslein's request in order to fully advise the <br />Board of Adjustment concerning this matter. The following information was obtained <br />concerning the various aspects of this quest_ion: <br /> <br /> 1. Mr. Grosslein stated that the use of the building would be for the stor.ing <br /> <br />of trucks and beer storage. He stated that the proposed use would be the same use <br />as that carried on in his present building across the street. ~.lr. Grosslein stated <br />that he presently operates with fourteen (14) trucks and with the additional building <br />he would be able to operate with a total of twenty-four (24) trucks. His present <br />building has 24,000 square feet, the new building, if the variance is granted would <br />have 33,520 square feet. Without the granting of a variance the building built would <br />be 29,00 square feet. The proposed building would be located on approximately 1.5 <br />acres of land and it vx~uld be located on a parcel of land which has been of reoord for <br />approximately nine (9) years. <br /> <br /> 2. Traffic question. Mrs. Anderson and the Dickensons' raised tt~ question <br /> <br />of the increased traffic volume. Question was also raised as to whether or not the <br />60-foot required setback could be used for traffic. Another question raised was <br /> <br /> <br />
