10 Regular Council January 29~ 1979 determine the rationale of the Operations Committee in deciding not to assign another handi-talki to the Ramsey Police Department. Also to determine the policy presently being followed regarding distribution of radio equipment. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to contact Mr. Ed Fields and review the rational of deciding the distribution of radio equipment to the police departments. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None. MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT Mayor Gamec reported he had attended the League of Women Voters Housing Symposium on low income housing and stated this does not apply to the City of Ramsey. He also reported he attended on January 27, 1979 a workshop for 'the newly elected mayors. He said this had been the best workshop he'd ever been to and-thanked everyone for making it possible for him to attend. Street Superintendent Mevissen was present to discuss with the Council his request to get a bid from the Hennepin County Purchasing Plan for a truck. Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Muller authorizing participation in the Hennepin County Purchasing Plan purchase an International truck, 27,500 GW, cab and chasis, for an amount not to exceed $12,500. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayom Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox, Voting no None. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
