They should really be appointed as an official Council Legislative <br />Conmittee as then they are able to better speak on the City's behalf. Be- <br />cause it's utterly impossible for the City Administrator to handle it by <br />himself as it's too time consuming. <br /> <br />2) Zoning in regards to the Proposed Gateway #2 Industrial P~lat: We have <br />a problem with it as it was zoned to be supposedly in the Urban Area, and <br />accordingly Mr. Greenberg's proposed preliminary plat shows one acre lots. <br />However, our zoning map shows it in the Transitional Area. It will be <br /> <br />l) Legislation at State Level: It is requested at this meeting that the <br />Council consider appointing a City Council Legislative Committee of one or <br />two Council members to work with the City Administrator in this area. It <br />should be a Council member who can take time from their job periodically <br />to participate in this matter. Currently, the City is involved in legisla- <br />tion regarding the State's Local Aid Formula to Cities. Consequently, I would <br /> <br />coming up before the Council Board of Adjustment on February 26, 1979 re- <br />questing lot size variance from 2½ acres to one acre. Just another problem <br />to ha.m~t you but you might just as well Start thinking about it now. <br /> <br />3) Grosslein Building Variance: The State has informed me their report <br />will be forthcoming the later part of the week of the 12th. <br /> <br />4) Legislation: The City is working on the following legislation: <br /> <br />a) Amendment to State Statutes 462 Planning Chapter regarding metes <br />and bounds platting.
