TO: City of Ramsey Board of Adjust~ant RE: Gross]ein Building Permit Request FRC~4: City Staff DATE: January 19, 1979 With regard %o the request of Grosslein Beverages, Inc. to obZain a variance for the construction of a warehouse on Tungsten Street in the City of Ramsey, the city staff met on Monday, January 15, 1979 with the following residents, Mr. Grosslein and his contractor. Mavis Anderson, Bill Dickenson, ~. and N~s. Roger Dickenson, Sr. Ralph DJ ckenson, and Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson. The purpose of the n~eting was to ob~33_n input questions and any and ~tl pertinent information concerning Grosslein's request in order to fully advise the Board of Adjustment concerning this matter. The following information was obtaJmed ooncerning the various aspects of this question: 1. Mr. Grosslein stated that the use of the building would be for the storing of trucks and beer storage. He stated that the proposed use would be the same use as that carried on in his present building across the street. Mr. Grosslein stated that he presently operates with fourteen (14) %tucks and with the additional building he w~uld be able to operaqe with a total of twenty-four (24) trucks. His present building has 24,000 square feet, the new building, if the variance is granted would have 33,520 square feet. Without the granting of a v~riance the building built would be 29,00 square feet. The pro_Dosed building would be located on approxLmately 1.5 acres of land and it v~m~ld be located on a parcel of land which has been of record for approy~mately nine (9) years. 2. Traffic question. Mrs. Anderson and the Dickensons' raised %be question of the increased traffic ~lume. Question was also raised as to whether or not the 60-foot required setback could be used for traffic.
