CASE ~5: SET BID DATES FOR THE FOLLOWING IMPROVEMENTS: Council will have to set the following bid dates for these public improvements: a) Brookview Estates Street Improvement b) Variolite Street Improvement CASE #6: PURCHASE OF OFFICE EQUIPMENT: Council authorization is requested to purchase the following office equipment: a) Purchase of a four drawer later~l~file cabinet which is in- cluded in the 1979 budget. Cost of this purchase is approxi- mately $260. The purchase of this item will be through Hennepin County Purchasing and we will realize quite a savings. b) Chedk Protector. The City's check protector is beyong re- \pair. Request Council approval to replace it. The replacement of this item was not budgeted in the 1979 budget. We are looking at an estimated replacement cost of $585.00 CASE #7: FINANCING OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: Council will have to give some direction on the financing of the following public improvement projects: ~j a) Variolite Street improvement - Now most of this project will ,~be covered by State Highway Aids money. However~ the City will have some costs involved here. b) Brook V~ew Estates Th~s project w~ll be assessed out to the benefitted property owners. c) Cases 3, q, and 5 Council Old Busmness thms agenda. Case 5 (Whispering Pines Estates #3) will be assessed out to the bene- fitted property owners ' d) Case 2 (Gorhams Sandy Acmes subdivision, Xkimo and Waco Street) will be assessed out to the benefitted property owners As you will note above, we do have a number of projects to consider in arranging financing for this year. It is, therefore, requested that we appoint the firm of Weaver, Talle & Herrick as our fiscal agent. They served in this capacity las~ year and did a fine job.
