Cost of this purchase is approxi- <br />mately $260. The purchase of this item will be through Hennepin <br />County Purchasing and we will realize quite a savings. <br /> <br /> b) Chedk Protector. The City's check protector is beyong re- <br />\pair. Request Council approval to replace it. The replacement <br />of this item was not budgeted in the 1979 budget. We are looking <br />at an estimated replacement cost of $585.00 <br /> <br />CASE #7: FINANCING OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: <br /> <br />Council will have to give some direction on the financing of the <br />following public improvement projects: <br /> <br />~j a) Variolite Street improvement - Now most of this project will <br />,~be covered by State Highway Aids money. However~ the City will <br /> have some costs involved here. <br /> b) Brook V~ew Estates Th~s project w~ll be assessed out to the <br /> benefitted property owners. <br /> c) Cases 3, q, and 5 Council Old Busmness thms agenda. Case 5 <br /> (Whispering Pines Estates #3) will be assessed out to the bene- <br /> fitted property owners <br /> ' <br /> <br />d) Case 2 (Gorhams Sandy Acmes subdivision, Xkimo and Waco Street) <br />will be assessed out to the benefitted property owners <br /> <br />As you will note above, we do have a number of projects to consider <br />in arranging financing for this year. It is, therefore, requested <br />that we appoint the firm of Weaver, Talle & Herrick as our fiscal <br />agent. They served in this capacity las~ year and did a fine job. <br /> <br /> <br />
