CASE #8: INTERPRETATION OF ORDINANCE #79-4 <br /> <br />The intent of this item is to receive Council concensus as to the <br />exterior finish of accessory buildings. The ordinance, see en- <br />closure (D3-a) states an outside finish which is compatible as <br />determined by the Building Official with all other buildings <br />within 350 feet of the accessory building. I have issued one <br />such permit and required construction of the front of the build- <br />ing to be similar to that of the house and the sides and rear to <br />be a compatible color. <br /> <br />This may be somewhat restrictive if for example a home had a <br />natural stone front. <br /> <br />Council action would be to with the <br /> interpretation <br /> concur <br /> as <br />previously required or specify what requirements that may wish <br />to have enforced. <br /> <br />CASE ~9: ACCEPTANCE OF RESIGNATIONS: <br /> <br />a) Acceptance of Sheila Beyer's resignation effective March 31, <br />1979 as Council Secretary. See Enclosure (D3-b) <br />b) Acceptance of Brad Bodle's resignation as a member of the <br />Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission. See Enclosure (D3-c) <br /> <br />Comments: The Planning Commission has placed an ad in the paper <br />requesting applications from volunteers to serve on the Planning <br />Commission. The applications are to be in the City Hall by <br />5:00 P.M. April 18, 1979. The Planning and Zoning will be inter- <br />viewing on April 19, 1979 at 7:30 P.M. and ~ill submit their <br />recommendation to the Council at their regular meeting of <br />April 23, 1979. <br /> <br />CASE #lO'APPROVAL OF HIRING ARLENE PEDDYCOART AS COUNCIL SECRETARY: <br /> <br />Council approval to hire Arlene Peddycoart as Council secretary <br />at $45 per meeting effective April 9, 1979. She will be taking <br />the Council minutes at this meeting. <br /> <br />CASE #11 PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING REQUIRING COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> <br />Please refer to enclosure (B-2) Council Personnel Committee <br />minutes dated March 28, 1979. The following will require Council <br />action: <br /> <br />a) Health Insurance for City employees <br />b) Personnel job description, evaluation~ compensation <br />c) Police gmant for Public Service Officer <br />d) Police overtime and Reserve Program - There was a question <br /> raised at the last meeting on this. Howevem, this has been <br /> addressed in enclosure (B-2) this agenda. <br /> <br /> <br />
