Sorteberg would be responsible for one-half of the
improvement that abuts his property and the other would be Federal Cartridge
who owns land on the adjacent side of the road. Consequently, the'staff
pointed out that a feasibility study be done by the City Engineer and a
public hearing conducted on the upgrading of the ~ubject improvement and
all other requirements of the subject Minnesota Statutes would have to be
met on this project.

It was also pointed out that the above would have to be accomplished before
Mr. Sorteberg sold any lots that have ingress and egress onto 161st St'meet
so as not to complicate this public improvement project.

Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson giving pre-'
liminary plat approval to Sorteberg Addition with drainage consideration;
acceptance of money in lieu of park land; escrowing one-half the amount of
blacktop funds paid to the City for the improvement of 161st Avenue.

Motion carried.
