Voting no None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />PORTABLE BUILDINGS AT RAMSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann granting the <br />Building Official authorization to issue per, its to the Anoka-Hennepin <br />School District #ii for the placing of portable buildings at the Ramsey <br />Elementary School for use as classrooms. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yesMayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Mickelson and <br />Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />ACTION ON BIDS RECEIVED FOR CITY TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adopt the <br />following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ON CITY TRUCK BID <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for a City truck were <br />received and opened at 4:00 P.M., March 26, 1979 and tabulated in the <br />Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota by the City Administrator and City Public Works Superin- <br />tendent and presented to the City Council at their regular Council meeting <br />of March 26, 1979 according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />l) Bill Boyer Ford <br />2) Main Motor Chevrolet (C7042) <br />3) Blomquist Int'l (1824) <br /> <br />$12,658.33 <br />$11,114.00 <br />$13,083.00 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that Main Motors was the lowest bidder at <br />$11,114.00. His bid is not accepted due to the fact that hi~ truck does <br />not provide the proper frame mounting for snow plow equipment. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bill Boyer Ford bid of $12,658.33 for the City truck does <br />provide for the proper truck frame for mounting snow plow equipment. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> 1) The City Council hereby accepts the second lowest bid (Bill <br />Boyer Ford truck bid of $i2,658.33) for the reason stated above as this <br />prime mover will be used extensively du~ing winter months for plowing <br />snow in the City streets. <br /> <br /> auth 'zg <br /> 2) The City Administrator is hereby ~co m~°~ o~ a purchase order <br />to Bill Boyer Ford in the amount of $12,658.33 for the purchase of the <br /> <br /> <br />
