Sp~ Council Meeting <br />April 30, 1979~Page 12 <br /> <br />A general discussion was held regarding the cost of the project. <br /> <br />Engineer Sha said there is a seven percent contingency in the overhead <br />for inflation purposes and if prices don't go up this amount could be <br />eliminated from the project cost. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested having the people do their own restoration, eliminating <br />that cost, however Delaney and Hanson propert.~es would have the biggest part <br />of the restoration.. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox pointed out that the areas assessment for Woodlawn Estates <br />was not as expensive as what.they paid in the first place for blacktop, <br />and when they realized it was considerably less they weren't so concerned. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggesting having the City do grading and assess out the blacktop <br />portion and not including restoration in the project amount. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec and Adm. Schnelle were directed to contact Mr. Lund in <br />regard to his doing the blacktop with Oakridge Estates Streets and report <br />back to Council on May 14, 1979. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Co~ seconded by Councilman Mickelson to get a new <br />cost breakdown for persons being assessed for blacktop and Class V, not <br />including restoration and considering assessment of $100. per lot to <br />Woodlawn Estates and Forest Hideaway, the City to pick up the remaining <br />cost. Councilmen Mickelson and Sorteberg to work with Engineer Raatikka <br />and bring back a new cost estimate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, <br />Rei.mann and Sorteberg, Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Sorteberg.
