11/17/78 <br /> <br />addition to a non-conforming use, members felt that according to the <br />or~l~J~nce the ~atter must be r~viewed by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />Motion by Art D~snn, seconded by A1 Sorteberg to reco~.'mend to the Cit~ <br />Council to gr~nt a variance to Mrs. Guy to sell by metes and Bounds <br />a parcel of land of less than 5 acres as per certificate of Survey of <br />10/26/78 by Comstock & davis, Inc. Subject to p~yment of variance fee, <br />application, and park fee. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by A1 Sorteberg to recommend to the Council <br />to ~rant a variance to Kovar Mfg. Inc. from the setback requirements in <br />the zoning ordinance to allow a setback on the south side of only 5 feet. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br /> <br />Commission action on Dental Clinic reouest. <br />Motion by A1 Sorteb~e.rg, seconded by Ron West to recommend to the City <br />Council to grant a U. D. P. to Dr.'s Anderson & Austin to construct a <br />dental clinic and professional building subject to the following: <br />(location of 153rd & Co. Rd. #5) <br />1.) Recommendations of Engineer in letter of 11~13/78 including in- <br /> creasing drive~,~ay ~:~dth to 24'. <br />2.) Approval of temporary access on to Co. Rd. #5 be made by Highway <br /> Dept. <br />3.) Permanent access be ~pproved at time 'of construction of 152nd L~ne. <br />4.) Developmental Contract bet?;een developer, city of Rsmsey, and Dr.'s <br /> Au2tin and Anderson for construction of their portion-of 152nd Lane <br /> 'be entered into. <br />5.) Subject to payment of U.D.P. fee. <br />6.) Payment of park fee. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Critical Rivers Plan - Dexter Marston. (Brad Bodle left 10:20 p.m.) <br /> <br />Mr. Marston was present with~the second draft of the plan for discussion. <br />Jim Martin, property ovrner ~.long the river, expressed concern with <br />"do¥~'n zoning" and that the maps used :::ere erroneous in part and feared <br />the ~etro Council would use these and set too severe setbacks. <br /> <br />Ron ;~'est brought up the question of another Mississippi River bric, ge <br />crossing. Also discussed was the proposed lot size change for the .rural <br />ares, and ~r. Msrston sugge, sted a meeting to discuss the possible <br />consequences. Mr. Marston was also informed of the letter th~ City <br />received regarding future servtc, roads. Public involvement ~:..'as dis- <br />c~ssed, and the need to h~ve input from t.be property owners.- <br /> <br />Motion by Art Dunn, seconced~by P, on West to adjourn.
