12.

13.

d. Requests that we include monitoring of the pond on the site is of unknown
value. There are too many variables which could affect the quality of the
pond water which are not related to the landfill and thus interpretation
of the data would be impossible.

LIQUID WASTE AND/OR CHEMICAL WASTE: The site has routinely received and
disposed of liquid and chemical waste.

a. We are not aware of any such disposal at this facility.

b. This operator has been probably the most cooperative in monitoring of
incoming waste materials and preventing the disposal of liquid or chemical
wastes. Quite frequently the operator has called advising us of such
materials that have been offered for disposal at his facility, for our
follow-up.

TIRES: It has been requested, by adjacent property owners, that tires be pro-
hibited from being received by this site.

a. We cannot prohibit the receipt of tires by the operator. In fact, the
operator must accept tires, unless the tires are of a nature which would
qualify them as a bulky waste.

b. We have advised the operator that he can encourage people to use the
facilities of a tire recycling service that is available within the County.
Said encouragement is occurring.

5-24-79
