NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City of Ramsey's Board of Adjustment <br />will hold a public hearing on'Monday, June 11, 1979 at 7:80 P.M. in the <br />Council Chambers of Ramsey Municipal Center, 15158 Nowthen Blvd N.W., Ramsey <br />Minnesota 55503. <br /> <br /> The purpose of said public hearing is to consider the variance request <br />of Hedstrom Electric. The variances requested are fmom the strict enforce- <br />ments of the following sections of the City Code. <br /> <br /> a. Section 170.013A General Requirements, Area Standards and Permitted <br /> Uses for Districts except "U" Districts, subd 4 of the zoning chap- <br /> ter of the city code of Ramsey, Mn. This sub-paragmaph in general- <br /> requires that all non-residential structures or uses shall not be <br /> located or conducted closer to any lot line of any other lot line in <br /> the R-1 district than 60 feet. The applicant proposes to construct <br /> a garage (storage) pole building within 27 feet of the south property <br /> line bordering R-1 district (residential) zoning, and this is the <br /> reason for this variance request. <br /> <br />Section 170.014A Non Conforming Use of the zoning chapter of the <br />city code of Ramsey, Mn. Sub-paragmaph I of the above stated section <br />in general states a non conforming use may be continued, but may not <br />be extended, expanded or changed unless to a conforming ~use. The <br />problem herin lies-that thecement block building and metal building <br />which front Highway #10 have only an approximate one foot set back <br />on side yards opposite properties. The zoning ordinance requires <br />a side yard setback of ten feet. The applicant wants to construct <br />a 60 ft. addition on the rear of the cement block building and a 40 <br />ft addition on the front of the metal building, both of which would <br />only have approximately one foot side yard set backs and this is the <br />reason for the variance request. <br /> <br />The proposed buildings to be located at this 6260 Highway #10 N.W. Anoka <br /> <br /> Ail interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and comment on <br />the variance application.
