~e 4 <br />~laP Council <br />anuary 29~ 1979 <br /> <br />Facilities Planning. The Metropolitan Waste Control Commission is presently <br />working on the initial phase of Facilities Planning under The Alternative <br />Waste Management Systems Project, which is To be completed in February, 1979. <br />Upon completion of the initial phase the City of Ramsey will be notified <br />of a preapplicatlon meeting.for applying for the Federal Grant. The Federal <br />share of the grant is estimated at $12,000. <br /> <br />A summons from Tomco Real Estate Associates to the City of Ramsey in the <br />amount of $100,000 was noted as having been received. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann instructing City <br />Attorney Goodrich to represent the City in this action, <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson. instructing <br />City Attorney Goodrich to enlist the aid of the Metropolitan Council and <br />the League of Minnesota Cities to help on the case. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman'Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />~-Db~GS OF:FACT ON REZONING; CASE, OF JACK MENKVELD/ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman <br />following findings of fact: <br /> <br />Cox to approve the <br /> <br />1) That the subject property consists of sixty (60) acres and is legally <br />described as: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter <br />and the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section <br />29, Township 32, Range 25, lying northerly of the Burlington <br />Northern Railroad right-of-way. <br /> <br />2) That the property is presently located in the transition area of the City <br />and in an R-1 residential zone. <br /> <br />3) That the applicant, GM Investment Company, is the fee owner of a portion <br />of the property and a contract for deed pumchaser of a portion of the property <br />from David McGinnis. <br /> <br />4) That the applicant proposes to have the subject property rezoned to an <br /> I-1 industrial district. <br /> <br />5) That the application has been reviewed by the City's Planning and Zoning <br />Commission which has made findings of fact and a recommendation to the City <br />Council, which recommendation and findings of fact is incorporated herein. <br /> <br />6) nat the City Council after receiving the Planning and Zoning initial <br />recommendation refermed the matter to the City's Economic Development <br /> <br /> <br />
