COUNTY OF .ANOKA
Comprehensive Health Depart lent

COURTHOUSE ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 612-421-4760

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING SERVICE
SENIOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICE DAYTIME ACTIVITY CENTER
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH 6633 ARTHUR ST. N.E,
· FRIDLEY. MINN. 55432

June 27, 1979

City of Ramsey
c/o Mr. Lloyd Schnelle
15153 Nowthen Blvd.
Anoka, Mn. 55303

Dear Mr. Sc~elle: '

On June 19, 1979, Arthur Dunn of this Department made an evaluation
of the terminal cover application on the.west slope of the Anoka Landfill.'
Enclosed is a copy of Mr. Dunn's inspection report and a sketch drawing
indicating the. cover measurements obtained at this time.
It was found at this time that the terminal cover application complied
substantially with the requirements of the County Solid Waste Ordinance
and was authorized for seeding. This authorization was based upon the under-
standing that the areas needing additional cover would receive the additional.-
touch-up covering needed and that should any erosion occur before the seed-
ing occurs, said erosion would be repaired before'seeding. It .is our under-
standing that-the operator has made arrangements for Ray Jordan and Sons
Landscaping to seed this area using a Class 7 highway seed mix applied at
the rate of 50 pounds per acre,.a Class 5 hydromulch applied.at the rate of
1,500 pounds per acre, and a 12:12:12 fertilizer applied-at.the rate of 300
pounds per acre.. It is anticipated that this seeding should occur within
the next week, weather permitting.
If you have any questions concerning this matter or if I might be' of
any s~rvice to you, please feel free to call on me.

Director, E~vironmental Service~

RMH :bb

Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
