BERG OIL SITE PLAN/DESIGN PLAN REVIEW
Rbn West was present ~esentin~ Berg Oil Company. stated that they
want to construct another building on the northwest rear corner of the
property for truck parking and general repairs and to park the trucks out
of the wind in the winter.

One of Mr. West's concerns is whether or not they need to provide for a
service drive so they can determine where the building could best be located.
If a service road is planned for behind the oil company it would take 20
to 30 feet off of Kovar's loading dock and also take off part of the Tee
Center and 'Be~Oil's parking lot if the road were to be aligned %o run along
the back of the properties. If the road is planned for in front of these
properties, it will'take off part.of the Tee Center's main entrance.

A general discussion was held concerning the service road and the problem
that would be encountered with either front or rear installation of the road.

Art Dunn expressed concern that with additional construction on this
property that it will use up the parking space and space that may be
necessary for operation of the septic system. * ·

Chairman Peterson stated ~.h-t one of his concerns is the gropping off of
school children on Highway 10, and traffic with people pulling out of
Bergs, Kovar Manufacturing and the. Tec Center.

'~r. Deemer suggested that the service road be lined up from Tungsten Street
and go North.

Engineer Raatikka suggested starting right behind Kovar~s with the service road.

Chairman Peterson stated he would like to have a feasibility study on this
service road with surveying, measuring, etc., which could Perhaps be done by
Engineer Raatikka.

Ron West stated it w~uld be best %o leave the 50 feet right of way in the rear
of the property at this time until a decision on the road c~u be reached.
Discussion held regarding the site plan ordinance, procedures and fees.

Mr. Deemer questioned what type of activity would be' conducted in the new
garage.

Mr. West replied that there would not be any pits or hoists.
