SECTIONS 18-20. (County and Municipal Agricultural Preservation Plans)

Provides for creation of agricultural preserves outside of the Metropolitan
Area. Basically a county or municipality adopts a special agricultural
preservation plan that delineates long-term agricultural lands. The
agricultural preservation plan is adopted under the appropriate municipal
or county planning act. Lands planned for long-Term agricultural use and
zoned at least quarter/quarter are then eligible for designation as agri-
cultural preserves and the benefits and limitations contained in the act.

SECTION 21. (Rules)

Authorizes the commissioner of agriculture to set rules as needed for appli-
cation of certain sections of the act. Rule-making is under the administra-
tive procedures act.

SECTION 22.
