TO: Mayor and City Council

FROM: City Administrator

RE: Staff Report

Enclosure (Enc. #1) Copy of letter and addresses

1. Meetings: Council should note the following meetings:

a) Joint Legislative meeting on Solid and Hazardous
Waste 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., November 27, 2979, Room 15
Capitol Building.

b ) Informational meeting on Sanitary Sewer scheduled by
Mayor Gamec to be held at Ramsey Municipal Center 9:00
A.M. Monday, November 26, 1979. Enclosure (Enc, #1) con-
tains a copy of letter sent out to property owners.

c) Council Personnel Committee scheduled meeting for
5:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 4, 1979, Ramsey Municipal
Center to discuss health insurance, 1980 salaries, etc.

2. Trees: The 50 trees we got through the grant program were
planted here at City Hall. We planted the following types of
trees:

10 Newport Plum
15 Summit Ash (.green specy)
15 Silver Maple
2 Redmen Linden
1 Mountain Ash
1 Locust
6 Norway Pine

If any of the trees die during the growing season next spring, they
(Lee's Landscaping) will replace them. Frankly, in a few years, the
City hall area should really be quite an attractive area.

3. Police Cars: It came up at the last Council meeting about what
size police car the City should purchase. Hermepin County Purchasing
is bidding it out both ways this year. We do have the' specification
they will be using should Council members want to see them~ Further,
we are not obligated in this bidding.

LGS:sb
