KE~NEL LICENSE - CASE OF JOHN <br /> <br />(Publ'ic hearing regarding this request was held earlier this date) <br /> <br />Mr. Taylor stated that he has lived at this address for two and one-half years. <br /> <br />Kathy Schneider asked about the selling of'the -pups and how m~ny litters would <br />be sold each year as she is concerned that this may be subject to a home occu- <br />pation permit. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich said that approval of this conditional use permit could carry <br />a stipulation that it would not becon~ a business requiring a business license <br />or hom~ occupation and if it does that tee permit may be cancelled if they are <br />unmble to obtain anything for this type of business. <br /> <br />Art Dunn cautioned the Taylors that if they Were going, to use a steel waste <br />container that they should be aware that it could rust out. He suggested <br />they check into something like fibarglas. Also to be sure that it is f~r enough <br />away from the water supply. <br /> <br />Motion by Gerald Zimnerman, Seconded by Kathy Schneider to reconnmnd that <br />the City Council grant approval of the Conditional Use permit for John and Gail Taylor <br />to operate a private dog k~nnel at their residence, 5510 156th'Lane N.W., provided <br />thay adhere to the conditions of tha City ord~nmnce governing suah conditional uses <br />and that they l~m~ t the amount of dogs on their premises to a rn~drm,n of 3 to 5 <br />dogs at one time. It is also reconmm~ded thmt sonmthing other than-steel waste <br />containers be used for waste disposal amd that the inside drain dozing the Winter <br />will be used for final clean up only and per the City Attorney's recon~n~ndation, <br />that if they are found to be condugting a business, that they will he req~{red to <br />obtain a license for said business and if they ca~-~ot obtain a license that this <br />conditionml use permit may be cancelled. , <br />M~tion carried. 5 - 0. , <br /> <br />Item No. 4 DON GREDqBERG'S PROPOSED'ADDITION TO THE GARAGE REGARDING SCREn~TING <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg appeared before the P & Z ~sion and pres. ented his proposed <br />addition to his gazage on the corner of County Road 57 and Highway 10. The <br />addition is to be 70 X 169.4 feet. Mr. Greenberg-~ted regard{ng the <br />screening , he said originally he was to have a steel fence between his <br />business and the trailer coozt but there w~as some discrepancy as to the <br />location of tha property line, they still don't knc~ where it is. The owner of <br />the trailer court has indicated to Mr. Greenberg that the wooden fence looks <br />better than a steel fence vx)uldo <br /> <br /> <br />
