Commissioner Jensen stated that there' is no difference in establishing nonprofit/ <br />profit organization, as they both would be beneficial in helping the general <br />capital. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schmidt asked Chairman Greenberg what the value of his stock is. <br />Chairman Greenberg said he didn't know but saw no problem with changing to non- <br />profit. He felt he'd like to get his investment back. It would be beneficial <br />to rely on someone. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen said that once we'd get some excess baggage, it would not be <br />beneficial. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that his personal feeling is that they could devote the <br />entire next meeting to this subject. <br /> <br />Commissioner Menkveld suggest that they have a special meeting where they can <br />devote the entire meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle suggested they talk to someone at Coon Rapids, perhaps <br />ge% a contact person there. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults informed everyone that he had already done that and he has <br />handouts and information from Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Fults to have a <br />special meeting of the Ramsey Economic Development Commission on March 17, 1982 <br />at 7:30 a.m. for the purpose of discussing the Local Development Corporation. <br /> <br />Discussion: Commissioner Schmidt and Commissioner Sentryz stated at that time <br />they would be unable to attend this meeting. Chairman Greenberg stated they <br />should figure out a day and time the entire Economic Development Commission could <br />meet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Fults to rescind <br />their motion for a special meeting on March 17, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City has plenty of time, that it would just be a <br />formality. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle stated that at this time he had met with Councilman <br />Cox and an engineer from the Metro Council. He had discussed with them a new <br />approach to sanitary sewer systems/disposal plants. There has been some new <br />innovations in waste water treatment plants. There will be no meeting with any <br />Commission regarding this until they get all the prices together. They will be <br />getting back to Ramsey at a later date. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Sentryz to have a <br />special meeting on March 31, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. to discuss the subject of the <br />Local Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
