CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, August 2, 2004, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Stronnnen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Human Resources Manager Givonna Reed <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:55 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was llOllC. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Recommendations for Official Map Board of Appeals <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed explained that the City Council established an Official Map <br />Board of Appeals this past spring to assist with the appeals that may arise out of the purchase of <br />properties within the area of Highway #10 that has been officially mapped. Staff proceeded with <br />a recruitmcnt process for this newly established Board but has received only one application to <br />serve on the Board. Several individuals inquired about the opportunity, but no additional <br />applications have been received. Staff utilized all of the City's communication mediums to <br />advertise the opportunity, including the Ramsey Resident, web-site, QCTV, and the Anoka <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/August 2, 2004 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
