Located within a quarter-mile of homes served. <br />d. Useful only in high density housing areas. <br /> <br />Neighborhood Park: <br />a. Provide for the active and passive needs of a neighbor- <br /> hood. <br />b. At least four acres in size--preferably 8-10 acres. <br />c. Located within approximately one mile distance from any home. <br /> Where possible, the park should be located on or adjacent <br /> to an elementary school. <br />d. Includes general play equipment (e.g. swings, backstops, <br /> slides, etc.), and provides scenic value, resting, nature <br /> study, picnicking, etc., provided proper separation of <br /> passive and active is achieved. <br /> <br />-10 - <br /> <br /> <br />
