APPENDIX A <br /> <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS ESTABLISHING <br />DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS FOR ENTRANCES <br />ALONG THE STREET AND ROAD SYSTEM OF <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Purpose. The purpose of this regulation is to establish certain <br />des~rhble design specifications for driveways and entrances pro- <br />viding a means of ingress to and egress from property located along <br />and adjacent to the right-of-way of the road and street system of <br />Anoka County. <br /> <br />~cope. The scope of this regulation is confined within the frame- <br />work of and intended to be consistent with Minnesota Statutes 1965, <br />Section 160.18, Subd. $. <br /> <br />Definitions. For the purposes of these regulations the terms shall <br />have the meanings given them: <br /> <br />1. General <br /> <br />a. County Highway Engineer means the County Highway Engineer <br /> of Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />b. County means the County of Anoka, Minnesota. <br /> <br />District and Street Classification. In the absence of an <br />established classification by local authorities, the following <br />definitions shall govern. <br /> <br />Urban District. Urban district means those properties <br />contiguous to the Anoka County highway system, including <br />any streets that are built up with structures devoted to <br />business, industry, or dwelling houses where such struc- <br />tures are situated at intervals of less than one hundred <br />(100) feet for a distance of one quarter (1/4] of a mile <br />or more. <br /> <br />b. Rural District. Rural district means all other locations <br /> not ~eeting the urban district definition. <br /> <br />Arterial Road or Street. Any road or street identified <br />as an arterial street in the Anoka County thoroughfare <br />plan as adopted by the County Board on <br />and subsequently modified on . <br /> <br />73 <br /> <br /> <br />
