lO.

d. Collector Street. Any county road or street not on the
adopted County arterial system.

Frontag__~, The length along the highway right-of-way line of
a s~ngle property tract between the edges of the property.
Corner properties have a separate frontage along each street
or road,

F_ron.tag_e_Boundary Li_ne (F.B. Line). A line normal (perpendicular)
to the highway ce~terline at each end of the frontage, extending
from the right-of-way line to the edge of the traveled wa>,.

Buffer Area. Buffer area is the area along the frontage between
~he traveled way and the right-of-way line and within the front-
age boundary lines.

Driveway Width (W). Driveway width is measured normal to the
driveway at the narrowest point (between parallel edges). The
widths shown are the usable surfaces including gutters if
present (See Table 6).

Corner Clearance (C). At an intersecting highway, street, or
road, corner clearance is the dimension measured along the edge
of the traveled way between the frontage boundary line opposite
the intersection of the two right-of-way lines and the tangent
projection of the nearest edge of the driveway.

Driveway Angle (Y). Angle Y is the angle of 90 degrees or less
between the driveway centerline and the edge of the traveled way.

Common Frontage Clearance (F). Common frontage clearance is the
dimension measured along the edge of the traveled way from the
point where the near driveway radius intersects the edge of
traveled way and the common frontage boundary line with the
adjacent property.

Distance Between Double Driveways (G). Distance between double
d~iveways is the dimension measured along the edge of the traveled
way between the tangent projections of the nearest edges of ad-
jacent driveways to the same frontage.

Driveway Permits. Authorization to construct or alter a driveway shall
consist of a permit duly signed by the County Highway Engineer or his
duly authorized representative. No driveway shall be constructed
from or to a county street or road until such permit has been ob-
tained and supplemented by those permits that may be required by
local governing authorities,

m
m

I
I
I
I
I

m
m
m
m

m
m

74

m
