Lloyd Schnelle, Clty Admtnistrator
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Doulevard N.H.
Anoka, Minnesota 55303

Re: Acceptance of Magnesium Street
as a City Street

As requested, we have reviewed the surveys and inspected the above referenced Street
~lh'lfh is iofa-~.ed north of industrial Boulevard an6 wast of the Ramsey Terrace plat:
and offer the following comments: ': ?

l, The street consists of a ~o inch bituminous ~urface 24 feet in width.

Several areas have broken up d~e to settlement and undermining of the b~se
by rodents.

The majority of the runoff from the street and the s~rrounding area drains
into the pond which is located directly to the west of the street. However,
it appears that a portion of the runoff ponds on parcel 670 as shown on the
half section map during periods of heavy rainfall and prior to the spring thaw.

To upgrade this street to meet present city standards would require extensive grading
and construction. Ultimately we would recommend constructing this street in conformance
with the city's standard suburban street section which is 32 feet in width. However,
since the street is located in the Urban Planning District we would not recommend
major upgrading of the street until utilities have been constructed.

If the City elects to accept the street as a city street we would recommend the
following requirements be.met:

The landowners dedicate a 66 foot wide street easement over the entire length
of the street and a 130 foot diameter easement at the north end of the street
for a cul-de-sac.

kemith caswell jr. t~ darrell schneider ~ richard sha
