Religious meeting or tent or other temporary structure <br /> for a period not to exceed .sixty (60) days. <br /> <br />l?0.0]?I) ISSUANCE <br /> <br />The temporary conditional 'use permit may be issued by the zoning o£ficer, <br />subject to approval by the city council. <br /> <br />170.018 t©ARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND VARIANCES <br /> <br />]70.018A BO/~RI) OF ALUUSTbIEArF <br /> <br />In accordance with Minnesota Statutes 462.35i to 462.364, a Board of <br />Adjustment shall be appointed by the city council. The Board of Adjust- <br />ment shall elect a chairman and vice-cbairman and appoint a secretary. <br />It shall hold meetings, keep minutes and, pursuant to notice, shall <br />conduct hearings, take testimony under oath, and render decisions in <br />writing withSn forty-five (45) days after the hearing or continued <br />hearing. A fee shall be charged in accordance with a schedule annually <br />affixed by resolution for any appeal or proceeding filed with the Board <br />of Adjustment. <br /> <br />170.0] 8B APPEALS <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment shall have the power to hear and decide appeals <br />from any order, requirement, decision, grant, or refusal made by the <br />zoning officer in the administration of this chapter. An appeal shall <br />be in writing and filed in duplicate with the zoning officer. Within <br />ten (lO) days after filing of the appeal, the zoning officer shall <br />transmit to the Board oI Adjustment all papers involved in the proceed- <br />ings. Upon receipt of this material, the Board of.Adjustment shall <br />set a hearing date and give notice by mail of the time, place and <br />purpose thereof to the appellant and to the zoning officer. The Board <br />of Adjustment may reverse or affirm wholly or in part any ruling, <br />decision, or determination of the zoning officer and may issue or <br />direct the ~ssuance of a'permit. The decision of the Board of Adjust- <br />ment may be appealed to the city council if the city council is not <br />the Board of Adjustment, and its decision may be appealed to the <br />District Court. <br /> <br />170.018C VARIANCES PURPOSE <br /> <br />The purpose of this section is to provide the City of Ramsey with an <br />opportunity for amelioration of unnecessary hardships resulting from <br />the rigid enforcement of its broad zoning ordinance. This variance <br />provision authorizes the Board of Adjustment to permit a particular <br />property to be used in a manner forbidden by the ordinance by varying <br />the terms of the ordinance. <br /> <br />170.0] 8D VAR].ANO~ LIMITATION <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment, upon appeal, shall have the power to authorize <br />variances from certain requirements of this ordinance.
