Page 9 <br />Council meeting <br />August 28, 1978 <br /> <br />ED LONGFIELD <br /> <br />Ed Longfield was present and discussed with the Council his plans of moving <br />a house into Ramsey that is presently in Hopkins, Minnesota. A report made <br />'by Building Offical Berg was read which stated the house did not comply with <br />the plumbing, electrical and venting codes. Also, the insulation does not <br />comply with the present energy code. Mr. Longfield said he planned to have <br />the house updated and knew he'd have to insulate. <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to grant.to request to move <br />this house into Ramsey providing it met with all State and City codes before <br />an occupancy permit could be issued. <br /> <br />4 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />The subject of a Capital Improvement Plan for Parks and Recreation was <br />brought up. It was the general concensus there should be a deadline for <br />this and also know what type of parks we want to get involved in. The <br />Council directed the Administrator to prepare a 10 year Capital~Improvement <br />budget with Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation and the Council. <br />Dave Mickelson and Tom Gamec from the Council would be a part of the <br />committee to prepare this. <br /> <br />It was also decided that Dave Mickelson and Tom Gamec would be on the <br />Budget Committee. <br /> <br />A discussion on the requirement~of developers of the builders to plant trees <br />on a lot as a requirement to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy was held. <br />Administration was to check into this and have it on the agenda for the. <br />next Council meeting. <br /> <br />BILLS..PAYABLE <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to pay the bills in the <br />amount of $49,866.77 which includes a $12.60 bill to the City of Anoka for <br />the final electric bill on the old City Hall. <br /> <br />4 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle read his report and Mayor Cox read the Assessor, <br />Building Inspector and Street Superintendent's report. <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />4 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 12:05. <br /> <br /> <br />
