Public Hearing <br /> Page 3 .: <br /> October 10, i978 <br /> <br />She was told that Menkveld would be picking up only the number of units <br />that he owns. <br /> <br />Ms. Cheryl~ Rae asked that in a 18 year period after they are paid for <br />then you come along and dig them up for improvements. <br /> <br />She is told this could be a possibility if it were the case. <br /> <br />Mr. Aliason asked about the traffic control after the blacktopping was <br />complete. Could bumps be put in the road? ~ <br /> <br />Mayor Cox informed him that can't be done. <br /> <br />Mr. Art Dunn asked what cost the City would pick up on park land in the <br />area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that park land is exempt from assessments. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve ~oerland stated he had a petition .against the street improvement <br />and that people were concerned with the speed: and children becoming hurt,~ <br />afraid of sewer,, etc.. <br /> <br />Ms. Janice Peterka asked if 150th' could be drOpped from~the petition. <br /> <br />Ms. Dorothy Eberling stated that when the petition originally came around <br />they were told it would be about $1,000.00 and now it is much higher~ <br /> <br />Mayor Cox told .her we are trying to project into the future. <br /> <br />Mr.' James Rae asked with the estimated cost for-this--project~ :-the-buyer ~-. <br />has to pay about 15% higher: <br /> <br />City ~.ngineer Raatikka stated that it could' be. <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis'Schmichael stated when the petition was also original circulated <br />that it was to be 2" of bituminous and 4~,5 inches of class 5.~ <br /> <br />Ms. Jan Peterka asked if they would be charged again for a road. in the <br />event of sewer coming in. <br /> <br />She was told they would be. <br /> <br />Ms. Wendy Graves asked if a stop sign would be separate £rom thi~ petition: <br />Mayor Cox told her it should be a separate petition~ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mnller and seconded by Councilman Reimamn to adjourn <br />the informal public hearing~ <br /> <br />Motion carried~ Members voting yes Mayor Cox~ Councilman Muller'~ Counci. l~. <br />man Reimann, Councilman Mickelson~ Councilman Gamec': Members voting no <br />None. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 8; 05. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Lloyd G., Schnelle, · Ci. ty Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
