CI]Y OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on November 2, <br />1978 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arnold Cox at 7:50 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilman Gamec <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Muller <br />Mayor Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br /> <br />Absent: Councilman'Mickelson <br /> <br />Mayor Cox led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Cox-read the' agenda/-: <br /> <br />MaYor CoX stated the reason.for~:this!special:,meeting~isito;interview,,~ <br />the applicants for the:off-sale,liquor license,. Each appl}cantwas - <br />notified by phone and an appointment set up with them and then a letter <br />was sent to each to confirm the appointment. <br /> <br />1) Mr. Jim Gilbertsen <br /> <br />Mr. Jim. Gilbertsen stated he:~would be constructing.:g new, building.~ <br />on~Highway~#10:next~to:N.H.C.:~Lumbe~..The~-,lot~ha§~6S~SgS~gqua~e:a <br />feet.and--the~building ~would~be 50 x 60..This Woutd. b~ '~ w.' ~: <br />th~required-$,000~squarer£e~t~on~the~,upp~.fld6~oan&~5,0000§quarere <br />feet baSement,storage.,, <br /> <br />Mr. Gilbertsen felt he would need-at-least-$300',000inVentory to <br />start the business. <br /> <br />2) Mr. Loren Leininger and Gary Martinson <br /> <br />Mr. Leininger and Mr. Martinson have Contacted Mr. Keith Cable on <br />constructing a building in the site just.south of the old City <br />Hall. They have plans for a S0 x 80 building without basemenb' <br />storage and 50 x 60 with basement storage. <br /> <br />M & L Liquors would be the name of their business and have pre- <br />sented a Partnership Agreement with their application. <br /> <br />The building would be of block construction with brick veneer and <br />cedar siding. Mr. Cable has written.a letter of intent stating <br />the building could be placed anywhere on the lot. <br /> <br /> <br />
