Regular Council Page 3 November 13~ 1978 OLD BUSINESS ACCESSORY BUILDING AND ACCESSORY USE IN ALL RESIDENTIAL ZONES Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the following addition to Section 170.014B Accessory Uses: 1. The accessory building shall have a design and outside facing finish which is compatible as determined by the zoning officer with all other buildings located within 350' of the accessory building.. An accessory building shall not be larger than 624 square feet if it is to be located on a parcel of land two and one-half acres (2½) or less in size, and not larger than 1200 square feet if it is to be located on a parcel of land larger than two and one-half acres 2. Any proposed accessory building shall be located on the parcel ' of land so as to allow for orderly future resubdivision or-the parcel ' on which the building is tobe located. :_Prior:.to issuance, of-a building permit for the building,: the .applicant shall_:provide zoning officer with a sketch plan showing-the-location =of "the-pr9 posed, building,. The' zoning officer shall ~not is§ue-the-permit if: he determines .the proposed -locati°n -will 'not -allow for orderly' future resubdivision of the parcel. And such addition shall read with building inspector in place of zoning officer. Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, _Councilman Mickelson, Council-_ man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. It was also decided to'have City,Attorney Goodrich draw up an~addition to the. ordinance 'as to the squ~re~footage-.in~.~ega~ds:~to~accessory:bu~tdingsy.~ other than attached ,garages;-- OFF-SALE LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Mayor Cox read the five applicants for an off-sale liquor license and noted that all have complied with the ordinance. Two of the applicants are pro- posing a location on Highway #1O and three of them on Highway #47. The applicants are: Mrs. Vera McGregor, Mr. James Gilbertsen, Mr. Ralph Pearson, Mr. Loren Leininger-Mr. GaryMartinson and Mr. Robert VanKrevelyn. Councilman Gamec stated the applicants can substiante themselves.in the placement of the off-sale liquor in the Urban Area. He feels that one should be on Highway #10 and one on Highway #47 and feels it should be mainly Leininger-Martinson and either Gilbertson or McGregor. Tax base is a major factor and general feeling is to keep major business in the Urban Areamainly around Highway #47 and County Road #57 (Industry Blvd.) It was felt that Mr. VanKrevelyn did not have a specific location, that he first wanted the license then proceed with definite plans.
