ORDINANCE #04-34 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF <br />THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS <br /> KNOWN AS "MUNICIPAL REGULA- <br /> TIONS.'' <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- <br />TION 5.08 TITLED "PUBLIC NUI- <br />SANCE'' BY THE REPEAl_ OF SAID EXIST- <br />lNG SECTION AND REPLACING IT WITH <br />A NEW SECTION 5.08, WHICH NEW SEC- <br />TION SHALL CONTINUE TO BE TITLED <br />"PUBLIC NUISANCE." <br /> The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br /> Chapter 5 of tim Ramsey City Code is <br />amended by repealing the existing <br />Section 5.08 and replacing it with the fol- <br />lowing text for a new Section 5.08: <br />SECTION 2. OFFICIAL SUMMARY <br />The following is the official summary <br />of ordiuance //04-34, which has been <br />approved by the City Council of the City <br />of Ramsey as clearly informing tim public <br />of the intent and effect of the ordinance. <br /> The existing Section 5.08 of Ramsey's <br />City Code has been repealed and <br />replaced with new text relating to Public <br />Nuisance. The purpose of this section is <br />to take all reasonable measures within the <br />City's jurisdiction to prevent the estab- <br />lishment of activities that maintain or per- <br />mit a condition which unreasonably <br />annoys, injures or endangers the health, <br />morals, decency, safety, or public peace <br />so that such activities do not affect the <br />comfortable enjoyment ot life or proper- <br />ty. <br /> A complete copy of this ordinance is <br />available for review at Ramsey City Hall. <br /> SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> This Ordinance becomes effective <br />upon its passage and thirLy (30) days <br />after its publication according to law, <br />subject t9 City Charter Provision, Section <br />5.04. <br /> PASSED by 'the City CounciJ of the <br />City of Ramsey, Minnesota, tile 24th day <br />of August, 2004. <br />Thomas G.
